Image Library License

All images published on the Wilderness Voice Image Library can be used for free. 

You can use them for commercial or noncommercial purposes without needing to ask for permission. You are not required to provide credit to the creator of the image or Wilderness Voice (although, it is appreciated if you do).  

Thus, Wilderness Voice Publications and the creators of the images in this Image Library grant you a nonexclusive copyright license to use images from this library for any purpose for free, but subject to the limitations below and our terms and conditions.

Limitations

You may not use any image or artwork for illegal, pornographic, fraudulent, or immoral purposes. 

You may not use any image or compile images from the Wilderness Voice Image Library to replicate a similar or competing service. 

Limitations of commercial use:

The Wilderness Voice Image Library License does not include the right to use images for commercial use when :

  • Trademarks, logos, or brands appear in any photo
  • A person in any photo or image is recognisable
  • Works of art or authorship appear in the image

If you wish to use any image, photo, or work of art that has any of these depicted in them, you will need to obtain permission yourself from the person, owner of the brand or trademark, or artist or author whose image, brand, trademark, etc appear in the image. 

If you are unsure about the use of an image for commercial use, you are better to talk to a lawyer skilled in copyright matters.
