The Servant in Isaiah 50:4 says that his Father gave him the “tongue of the learned” that he would “know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary”. Proverbs 15:23 says “a word spoken in due season, how good is it!” and Proverbs 25:11 records “a word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver”.

It is our hope that these pieces will bring you comfort and spiritual encouragement in whatever trials you are facing, whichever part of the world you live in. Music has an incredible power to soothe and calm and it is our fervent prayer that these pieces may have this power for you. We have a wonderful hope that can lift our thinking above our present “light affliction, which is but for a moment” (2 Cor 4:17), and transport our minds into the future.

Most of these items come straight from our Christadelphian Hymn Book, a book that is used by brothers and sisters around the globe. Not only is our Hymn Book a wonderful heritage and uniting factor for our congregations, but it also accurately reflects the doctrines and beliefs of those that are “called to be saints” (1 Cor 1:2). We are therefore excited to share with you these pieces and hymns and we pray that they may be to you … a word in season.

Recorded at the Christchurch North Christadelphian Hall, Christchurch, NZ. CD#01 ℗ 2017

On 22 February 2011, a major earthquake shook the city of Christchurch, NZ and killed 185 people. The earthquake has had a significant emotional impact on many brothers and sisters and it was this impact which inspired the theme of A Word in Season: hymns and spiritual songs of comfort.

This Audio recording is a fundraiser for the NZ Christadelphian Family Bible School. All proceeds go towards this cause.
